In a sentence, tell us about yourself

I have a competitive nature even when I’m not the best at something.

What gets you up in the morning? What’s the first thing you do?

Im not a natural morning person (although I do aspire to be) so being honest, I would have to say my alarm. The first thing I do is check my Coros watch to over-analyse my quality of sleep, then straight in the shower ending with 10secs of cold water to set me up for the day.

How about what gets you out the door to run?

A few things: a sunny day, procrastination, if I’m feeling a bit anxious, or opening my Strava feed and getting FOMO.

What excites you about the running community in London?

Its growing inclusivity. It’s not only a place for elite runners—people of all abilities are welcomed, with no shame in a slower pace. As a slower runner myself, I know how intimidating the running-world can seem, especially when you are just starting out, but in reality it’s a safe space for everyone.

Favourite shoe of all time?

The Hylo impact - firstly, this shoe got me through my 1st half marathon so deserves some kind of award. Secondly, sustainability is really important to me so having an eco-running shoe that doesn’t sacrifice performance is a real winner for me. [Editor's note: check out our review here!]
